Following the abrupt cessation of operations on the 27 Jan 2006 by a prominent satellite ISP which has left their customers without internet service, Orbitlink Ireland in conjunction with its partner Hughes Network Systems Europe are offering a speedy migration programme which includes the provision of FREE EQUIPMENT*.
In order to migrate to Orbitlink you should ….
Contact Orbitlink on 01 8601995 to discuss the transfer.
Provide a copy of a recent Original Service Provider invoice,
Select the appropriate service plan that meets your requirements.
Complete a 12 month contract and direct debit mandate.
Organise installation and agree charges with an Orbitlink approved installer.
While best efforts were made to match up Orbitlink's grades of service with the Original Service Provider's, the customer should, verify for themselves that Orbitlink's service meets their requirements and acquaint themselves fully with Orbitlink's terms and conditions. Note that cheaper service plans are available but these would offer a lower level of performance.
For further information on these other service plans visit our business section. Click Here
Due to the urgency created by the Original Service Provider's abrupt termination of service Orbitlink is devoting resources to cope with the increased demand however all migrating customers will be prioritised on a first come first served basis.
*Equipment shall be provided rent free for the duration of the service agreement. Such equipment shall remain the property of Orbitlink and must be decommissioned and returned upon termination of the service agreement.
We regret that unlike the Original Service Provider we do not recommend the hosting of services over the link. Affordable high bandwidth hosting is available from our hosting partners Hosting365.ie.
Nor is the service suitable as a backhaul for Community Broadband projects. No contended satellite service is !!. Community broadband projects should in the interests of providing a quality service to their users invest in a terrestrial based backhaul.
